Behaviour Management
1-2-1
A 1-2-1 session is to really start to dig deep into the student and discover what the barriers are that are affecting their education in a negative way.
In these sessions the aim is to build a positive relationship with the student and with a team of very experienced staff we know this can be done.
This will be a weekly meeting with a student where they will be taken out of a lesson for a 30 minutes upto 1 hour depending on what the behaviour specialist believes is best.
Small Group
Small group sessions are a great way to get other students to follow positive behaviour choices and to work together to remove barriers to their education.
The small group session will run for a full lesson. In these sessions the group will work together to do tasks that have been set up by the team and to design their own behaviour plans with help of staff with rewards that they are able to achieve if they are able to follow their own plan. This is great for young people as this then puts the student in charge of their own situation without knowing it and will start to remove barriers in their learning within themselves.
Activity intervention
Activity intervention is a group of students that the school will choose to take part in physical/hands on activities, this is something that really benefits some of the more disengaged students to get them to focus on activities they they are enjoying as they will be taking charge and having full involvement for the whole lesson.
Reports/ Behaviour Plan
Reports and a behaviour plan is something the team have set up to ensure that what the team are putting in place is being successfully monitored and can really see the development in the students behaviour over the term, this is a great way to see the progression or regression from the start to the finish of the programme this is great for the students to also see how far they have some with being involved in the programme.
